Zulma Larios

Board Member

Zulma lives in Medford with her three daughters and husband. She enjoys being a part of all her girls’ activities and feels blessed to have the support of her mother and
husband to also be very involved with her community. Professionally, she serves as La Clinica’s Field Based Care Manager supporting the various field-based programs including the mobile health clinic, the dental sealant and education program (Happy Smiles), community resource specialists, and health outreach specialists. Zulma has a deep understanding of the systemic barriers and social determinants of health that many of our most vulnerable populations face when trying to access health care and other essential resources in our community. Zulma finds joy in serving others and volunteers her time to local nonprofits that support our underserved and often forgotten communities including Rebuilding Together Rogue Valley, CASA, and Ritmo Alegre. She is a member of the 2040 Vision Implementation Committee for the city of Medford, a member of the Phoenix/Talent School District EDI Committee and while no longer in a formal role, a community health worker for her community whenever possible. Zulma has a passion for equity work and work that enhances the quality of life for members of her
community.

FNC is an organization La Clinica highly use and refers patients to. Zulma sees the value in the services FNC provides and the impact it has on children and families. When a coworker connected her to the opportunity to join the FNC board, it was a no-brainer! “There is a saying that I hear often, ‘It takes a village.’ Really, it takes a community. A community of caring people, staff, community partners, and community members to care for all including the most vulnerable in our community, and that includes children and families. The work FNC does is building stronger families and communities.”
