Valerie Ljungkvist is a local pediatrician who has been practicing in the Rogue Valley since 2005. She joined the Family Nurturing Center board in 2022.

Valerie grew up in Humboldt County California and has lived in, and traveled to, many places in the world before returning back to the Pacific Northwest to join her partners at Southern Oregon Pediatrics.

In her spare time she loves spending time going on adventures with her husband, daughter and son; eating and cooking good food; and looking for the small inspirations in her everyday life that spark creativity and joy.
