To strengthen families so that children can live safely and develop fully in their parents’ care

The Purpose of the Family Nurturing Center is to Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect.

  • We help parents keep their children safely within their own families.
  • We support children as they heal from difficult life experiences.
  • We wrap an array of services around families in crisis helping them rebuild their lives and raise healthy and thriving children

The Family Nurturing Center (FNC) is a community-based non-profit child abuse and neglect prevention and intervention program serving high risk families with children under age six. One of 25 Relief Nurseries in Oregon, FNC is making a difference in the lives of children and families by providing a blend of intensive support and interventions to break the patterns of abuse and neglect. The FNC focuses on the needs of children, their parents, and the family as a unit by offering supportive services to keep children safe and families together.

We opened our first center in Jackson County in May 2006 – this center has grown from a single group of two toddlers and their families, to an organization that has served over 1,000 children in its short history.
